Privacy Policy

Peridot is a gentle daily wellness app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it simple because the app is simple, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a password, used to create and secure your account.
- Wellness data you enter: weight logs, food entries and any food photos you add, the calorie estimates generated for those entries, and your daily check-ins (a sugar-free day, a day you worked out).
- Goals: your no-sugar challenge length and weekly workout target.
- Social: friend connections you create with invite codes, and the cheers you send or receive.
- Profile: a display name and an avatar color you choose.
How we use it
We use this information only to run the features of the app: to show you your progress, grow your tree, save your logs, and connect you with friends you invite. When you log food, the text you enter and any photo you attach are sent to an AI service to estimate calories. Those estimates are a guide, never a grade.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted services to operate the app:
- Supabase stores your account, your logs, and your food photos.
- Anthropic processes your food descriptions and photos to estimate calories.
- Vercel hosts the calorie estimation service.
These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the app. We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers, or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
What friends can see
Your privacy inside the app matters as much as outside it. Friends in your Circle can only see your tree, your streak, and your daily check-ins. They can never see your weight, your food entries, your photos, or your calorie estimates. Solo mode hides everything social entirely.
Your data and your control
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, in Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your logs, photos, goals, and friend connections. You can also email us with any request about your data.
Children
Peridot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
